Essence

Essence borders the domestic space as the expression of individuality in the company of others, in the crossover between private and personal space. (It need not be literally domestic or household space)
Essence also borders community space, as private endeavours are realised in ways that affect the broader community at large, for example, an architect’s scribbles becomes plans, and finally a building that becomes part of a community’s history and conscience.
Essence need not be tangible in order to be real to the individual. It includes the subconscious, motivations, reflection, etc.
